Set up once. No ongoing management required.
Verification status is determined by sourcing review, not by payment. Fees cover monitoring and administration. They do not influence outcomes.
What dentists ask before they enroll.
Verification runs on a 12-month cycle by design — the look back, the monitoring windows, and the annual attestation are all built around it. Monthly billing wouldn't match how the service actually works. Founding pricing locks your rate for Year 1; renewal moves to Standard pricing.
A read-only view of your practice credit card. We see merchant name, date, and amount — nothing else. No line items, no receipts, no bank account, no ability to move money. You can disconnect it anytime from your dashboard.
SafeSource uses Plaid for the credit card connection — the same infrastructure used by major banks and apps like Venmo. We never store credit card numbers or banking credentials. Transaction data is reviewed against the merchant tier system and stored in encrypted form.
SafeSource verification works by reviewing credit card transactions for each location individually. A location that pays for supplies through ACH, checks, or distributor account billing — instead of credit cards — has nothing for the model to monitor, so it can't be verified. Other locations of the same practice that do use credit cards remain eligible.
Initial verification runs at enrollment using a 120-day look back on your credit card transactions. If everything checks out, you're verified within a few business days. After that, we monitor forward in 14-day windows. There's nothing for you to do.
Verified practices receive an embeddable seal for their website plus a public listing in the SafeSource directory. Patients searching their dentist see the verified status in real time. The seal updates automatically — if status changes, the embed reflects it.
No. SafeSource isn't required by any regulator. It's documentation of what responsible practices are already doing — independent confirmation of where your supplies come from, made visible to patients.
Cancel anytime. Your listing comes off the public directory, the badge on your website stops showing verified status, and your Plaid connection is closed. Annual fees aren't refunded, but no further charges happen.
Annual fees aren't refunded if your status changes during the membership year. This includes three scenarios:
In each case your status can be restored once the underlying issue is resolved — your check-in is closed, your Plaid is reconnected, or the revocation is reversed on appeal. We don't bill again on restoration, and your renewal date doesn't change. We aren't able to refund or prorate the original annual fee because verification monitoring is a year-long commitment regardless of status changes during that year.
Drop your email and we'll keep you posted as the founding cohort fills up.
